Nursing

There are several nursing roles within St Martins Care that support the delivery of high-quality care across residential, nursing and supported living care settings in the North East.

Nurse Associate is registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, and you will have a PIN number. This is a level 5 qualified role and works with the clinical nursing team to provide care and support to residents who have a range of nursing needs. You will supervise a small team of care assistants and you will work under the guidance of the registered nurse. This is also a stepping stone to becoming a qualified registered nurse.

Registered Nurse (RGN, RMN or RLDN) leads the nursing unit and can be referred to as ‘nurse in charge’. They provide clinical care and support including medication administration and management, wound care, PEG therapy and IV management. They work with their care team to meet the needs of the residents, they liaise with Community Matrons, GP’s and other allied health professionals and work closely with the onsite management team.
