Catering 

Kitchen Assistant is a great start to a career in catering. It is where you will see first-hand the full workings of a commercial kitchen, you will learn how to maintain high standards of food hygiene, food preparation and how to meet a wide range of dietary requirements and the important role good nutrition plays in the health and well-being of residents.

Second Chef works closely with the Head Chef to prepare and cook nutritious meals for the residents. You will contribute to the development of menus determined by seasons and available produce and tailor these to meet individual needs, for example specialist diets for dysphagia or how to add calories to boost nutritional value and work with suppliers for ordering and budget management. You will also deputise for the Head Chef in their absence.

Head Chef is responsible for the management of the onsite commercial kitchen providing highly nutritious food to the residents. This will include understanding how to meet a range of different dietary needs, for example diabetic, fortified, and pureed. You are responsible for the development of menus determined by seasons and available produce and tailor these to meet individual needs. You will need to understand budget management, stock control and maintain high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness.

Housekeeping

Domestic Assistant ensure that the premises are well presented, clean and odour free whilst maintaining high standards of infection, prevention, and control. This role also provides a full laundry service to the residents. High standards of cleanliness are critical for this role and an understanding of how to prioritise and manage daily, weekly and monthly tasks.

Maintenance worker has a broad remit providing the day-to-day maintenance requirements of the care home and grounds. This role is critical to the health and safety management, presentation, and compliance of the care home. This role works across all teams reporting directly to the Registered Manager. They liaise with head office and coordinate onsite contractors.
