Tins and Toys Appeal for Christmas

Park View care home has been talking with the Salvation Army to so that we can help them with their fantastic Tins and Toys appeal this year.

Last year in the North East of England, over five thousand children from the ages of 0-17 years old didn’t wake up with a Christmas present on Christmas morning.

This year, the struggle is getting worse with the cost of living crisis in the UK.

So Natalie and Stephanie from Park View decided to reach out to one of the charities helping to make sure children have at least one present on Christmas morning. This year we have decided to help the Salvation army with their appeal.

The toys they collect range from 0 up to 17 years old.

Not only that but they are also collecting for their foodbank that they organise themselves for those in need. We aren’t asking for a great deal, but if each person brought in a little toy or purchased an extra tin in their weekly shopping – it will really help the cause.

Anyone who is happy and willing to help, have until the 7th December to bring things in. The Salvation Army will be collecting and distributing their donations on the 8th December.

Thank you.
